Your tour guide will greet you at Fountain City Coffee, 1007 Broadway. You’ll receive a Vampire Chai tea (or hot chocolate for children) upon arrival. After a 90-minute walking tour through the Historic District, the tour will conclude in the area of Fountain City Coffee.

Upon arrival, you'll get a Vampire Chai tea (hot or iced, depending on the weather).

There is limited on-street parking. The closest parking garage to the starting point of the tour is the RiverCenter garage on the west side of Broadway, between 9th and 10th Streets.

What can I expect?

Walking & Food – You can expect to walk approximately 2.0 miles during the 3-hour walking tour. We will stop at five to six tasting locations to sample delectable food. Drinks are provided in some locations, but you’re welcome to bring a bottled water, or purchase a drink at our meeting location. The tour route is mostly flat, with a few moderate inclines. It’s suitable for all ages and fitness levels. However, it is more suitable for children over 13. The scheduled tours will run, rain or shine.

History – As you stroll through the streets of Uptown Columbus, your friendly tour guide will discuss various points of history and culture that shape our beautiful city. From recalling “The Battle of Columbus”, identifying locations of notable shops and restaurants from days gone by, and looking to the future with Columbus State University’s ever-expanding campus, you can expect to see many things and learn these facts and more about Columbus, GA.

What should I wear?

Comfortable, weather appropriate clothes and shoes. Umbrellas and rain jackets are never a bad idea.
