The Bites of Uptown tour will meet and start at My Boulange French Bakery, 111 12th Street. There is on-street parking on 12th Street and 1st Avenue. There is also a parking garage at 1st Avenue and 11th Street.

Tour runs rain or shine, unless weather is severe. If so, we will reschedule.

Walking & Food – You can expect to walk approximately 2.0 miles during the 3-hour walking tour. We will stop at five to six tasting locations to sample delectable food. Drinks are provided in some locations, but you’re welcome to bring a bottled water, or purchase a drink at our meeting location. The tour route is mostly flat, with a few moderate inclines. It’s suitable for all ages and fitness levels. However, it is more suitable for children over 13. The scheduled tours will run, rain or shine.
History – As you stroll through the streets of Uptown Columbus, your friendly tour guide will discuss various points of history and culture that shape our beautiful city. From recalling “The Battle of Columbus”, identifying locations of notable shops and restaurants from days gone by, and looking to the future with Columbus State University’s ever-expanding campus, you can expect to see many things and learn these facts and more about Columbus, GA.
Where Food Meets History! Put on your walking shoes for a fun, entertaining and delicious way to learn about Columbus, GA. You’ll discover the best local restaurants and stores in Uptown Columbus. Of course, we’ll sprinkle in a bit of history, architecture and culture to round out a perfect afternoon.
Comfortable, weather appropriate clothes and shoes. Umbrellas and rain jackets are never a bad idea.
