  • What kind of items are served on the tours?

    Uptown Food Tour – we visit various local restaurants, sampling specialty food items.
    Happy Hour Tour – we feature drinks and appetizers from local bars and restaurants.

  • What locations will we visit on the tour?

    A complete listing of restaurants and bars is on the individual tour pages, with more to come. Please note, locations and samples are subject to change.

  • Do we still go if it rains?

    Yes! Even if it’s raining, the food still tastes good! We do suggest you check the weather before you head out for your tour so that you may dress appropriately. In the event of severe weather, we will call to reschedule your tour.

  • Do you accommodate people with food allergies or dietary restrictions?

    When you purchase your tickets, please let us know if you (or anyone in your group) has special dietary needs. As long as we know in advance, we can accommodate most requests.

  • Do you offer a military discount?

    Yes! We love our military. Give us a call at 706-315-8824 and ask about our military discount code.

  • Does each tour end at the same place it begins?

    No. We start in one location and end in another. On your guide sheet, you’ll have detailed instructions on how to return to our starting point. You can always ask your friendly tour guide. He or she will be happy to help you.

  • Can I pay with cash?

    No. Tickets are sold through our client, EzTix. They may be purchased online or over the telephone (1-800-656-0713). Payment methods accepted are Visa, American Express, MasterCard, and Discover.

  • Do I have to purchase tickets in advance?

    Yes. Tickets must be purchased in advance. Columbus Eats tickets sell out quickly. To ensure you get tickets for the date you want, we advise you to purchase your tickets well in advance.

  • Is parking available near the starting location?

    Yes. There are several public parking garages within one block of our starting point. There is also free on-street parking, if you’re lucky enough to find a spot.

  • Are beverages served on the tour?

    Uptown Food Tour – beverages are served at select tasting locations. You will also be offered a complimentary bottled water during the tour.
    Happy Hour Tour – the focal point is the beverages!

  • How much food is served on the tour?

    Uptown Food Tour – While the sample portions are smaller than what they are if you were to order the dish in the restaurant, with five tastings, it is enough to serve as lunch.
    Happy Hour Tour – You will be served light appetizers only, as the focus of this tour is on specialty drinks. After the tour ends, it is our hope is that you return to one of our delicious tasting locations for dinner.

  • How much do we walk?

    Uptown Food Tour – The tour is three hours long and we cover approximately 2.5 miles. While most of the land is flat, we experience a couple of moderate inclines. We will be walking or standing the majority of the time. There are resting points on the tour, where you may sit down, totaling 40 minutes. Check out a video of our route!
    Happy Hour Tour – The walk is an easy, flat 1 mile or less. This tour is 1.5 hours in length.

  • Is the tour wheelchair and stroller accessible?

    Uptown Food Tour – Columbus Eats will help direct any of our guests who are using a wheelchair or stroller to ensure safety. We want everyone to stay safe and enjoy the tour.
    Happy Hour Tour – This tour is wheelchair accessible and we will direct our participants to ensure safety. Strollers will not be allowed on this tour, as we will be visiting locations that require participants to be 21 years of age or older.

  • Are gift certificates available?

    Yes, Columbus Eats gift certificates are available! Just visit Gift Certificates and purchase as many to cover the amount of tickets you’d like. After your purchase, you’ll receive a confirmation e-mail with your gift certificate code. Then, use the code when purchasing your tickets.

  • Does the tour guide accept gratuity?

    Yes, our tour guides graciously accept gratuities. However, it is not mandatory.
    The standard gratuity rate for the service industry is 15%.

  • Are restrooms available on the tour?

    Yes, at select tasting locations you will have the opportunity to use the restroom.

  • Can I shop while on the tour?

    Unfortunately no.  Our tours run on a very regimented schedule which allows no extra time for shopping. We cordially invite you to return to all our awesome locations after the tour and you can shop ’til you drop!

  • Can I book a private tour?

  • Are there vegetarian options on the tour?

    Yes, our locations will substitute tasting items for vegetarians.

  • May I take photos during the tour?

    Yes! We encourage you to take photos and if you feel so inclined, post them to our social media page at Facebook, tag us on Twitter and Instagram, or include them in your review of Columbus Eats on Yelp and TripAdvisor.
